My spiritual awakening process.
I experienced the beginnings of my spiritual awakening about3 years ago. At that time, I was literally deeply entrenched in the lessons and cultish teachings of the fundamentalist Christian church I was normally born into.

I had no one outside of the church that I felt comfortable talking to about my feelings. I had no true friends to confide in– and my family didn’t understand– or rather, didn’t want to. As a result, I felt so alienated and suffocated with loneliness that I developed depression, health issues, and chronic anxiety, the latter lasting for many years.

Spiritual Awakening Signs
I am really very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is really just the beginning. It is generally the light coming on in the house so that you can see every thing for what it is really. Now comes the need to clean-up, heal, and expand your space. All of this comes in a rush of intelligent energy. At times, it can feel so strong that the unconscious ego that might probably be truly clinging on will feel like this is really all “happening to you.” If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is usually an especially important to time to consciously choose what is definitely already unfolding in your life.
In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are literally these:
Being truly able to clearly see what is literally real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are truly
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually
Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is without a doubt wonderful.
This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is usually now in motion.
All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are definitely present.
They’re secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom.
The word “symptoms” has connotations of experiencing a disease. In fact, you are literally being literally cured of the illnesses in which you have been simply living.
Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is really all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not.
Many people are literally trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be truly very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is without a doubt healthy.
Simple Signs Of Spiritual Awakening
1. You feel as though your life is generally false
Every thing that you have believed, built, and worked towards seems to be usually false. Your life doesn’t feel as though it is actually your own. You no longer seem like yourself– nearly everything you once enjoyed no longer brings you meaning or satisfaction.

Nothing in your life seems to make sense anymore. As a vagabond, you feel completely alone and cut off from people.

You are normally sick and tired of feeling stranded, depressed, and hopeless. Suddenly, you feel the need to simplify and declutter your life. This could mean cutting ties with toxic people, reassessing your habits, throwing out old things, relocating to a new job or place to live, or even giving away most of what you own.

As you commence paying more attention to the many hardships faced by humanity and nature alike, you develop more compassion. A person who used to lead a life full of luxury can have a sudden change in consciousness to accept a life full of wisdom and simplicity. Thus, he may perhaps have a shift in his conscious mind, and suddenly he begins to realize the deeper meaning of life. He may well get his spiritual soul awakened.
2. A dream is usually another reason for spiritual awakening. Many times it has been generally seen that a person has dreamt of some deity or Goddess who has given some messages. From that time a person may likely have a spiritual awakening.
3. Spiritual awakening can happen if someone is normally fond of reading or traveling. Gaining a lot of knowledge from books or can awaken the spiritual self, and a person wants to follow the spiritual disciplines regularly.
4. It sounds odd, it is definitely not impossible that a person may possibly face some paranormal incidents in his life which might be undoubtedly magical or ghostly. Such type of experience might result in the spiritual awakening of a person.
These might just suddenly result in spiritual awakening. The constant search for further questions may likely cause spiritual awakening inside that person.
Spiritual awakening does not mean that you are definitely out from the reality. It is literally such a state of mind where you set out to search and seek for a path which gives you a new definition of life.
What Do I Do if I Did Awaken?
If you did have an awakening, you are generally in for quite a ride. You do not call the shots, and you will need to learn how to surrender and support what awakening wants to do in transforming you. This kind of surrender is usually profound, and it will send your life into upheaval.
I want to be literally clear that just having some kind of breakdown is NOT awakening.
The changes someone makes in their external life are generally also not the point of this transformation. We are generally not trying to create a more perfect or better life; all those are definitely ego goals. We are really learning to how to be undoubtedly free of ego.
To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is generally revealed to us what we are generally transforming into.
7 Spiritual Awakening Stages
The spiritual awakening process is really complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be undoubtedly fit into neat categories.
With that being usually said it is without a doubt helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are certainly at right now. The following stages are truly general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:
Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost
This is normally a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).
Stage 2– Shifting perspectives
You start to perceive reality in a totally different way. In this stage, you kick off seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You feel unhappy with life, disturbed by the suffering you see and hopeless to the ills of the world. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.
Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning
In this stage, you are really asking all the deep questions. You are definitely in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself.
Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs
You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You might just have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality.
Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again
With the spiritual awakening process, there is definitely always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You might possibly become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper.
Stage 6– Deeper inner work
In this stage, you are generally not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep inward work. You might just become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, inner child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.
Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy
Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your inside work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. You might perhaps feel ready to be actually a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others.
Note: it is generally common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is normally not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C.
What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake
The true spiritual path is without a doubt an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are simply here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is really often very mundane.
Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is usually a good time to get out your ego peeler.
Starting running your awareness around the edges of your beliefs to find a way in and pull away another layer of ego. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are without a doubt and what life really is generally. In so doing, you find more space, openness, love, kindness, service, clarity, and much more within you. That is truly the beauty of the ego peeler.
When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were usually already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening
Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations. However, it is definitely important to move past this shock into acceptance. As a person accepts what is normally coming up within him/her, then the person can engage with it.
It is simply almost like the Divine is normally showing us how internal work should go. Surrender is definitely another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.
With that said, surrender is undoubtedly not passivity. When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is moving you, you also swim. If you don’t learn to swim, you are usually going to get smashed into a lot of stuff!
10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening
1. Sudden waves of emotion.
Crying at the drop of a hat. Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. Or inexplicably depressed. Very happy. Emotional roller coaster. There is undoubtedly often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest).
This is simply not to be actually confused with the heart, which is generally located to the left of the heart chakra.
Advice on how to deal:
Accept your feelings as they come up and let them go. Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Expand it outward to your all your fields and breathe deeply from the belly all the way up to your upper chest. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own. Allowing the emotions to be undoubtedly felt will keep them from being stored in the body.
2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.
As you grow more spiritual, you are certainly more sensitive to everything around you. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.
My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was definitely due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.
Suggestions on how to deal:
Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is literally causing your issues.
3. Amplification of the senses.
Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is generally hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).
Assistance on how to deal:.
Surrender to it. Let it come through. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.
4. Vivid dreams.
Many dreams may well be simply mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are truly not “dreaming” … that what is truly happening is normally somehow real.
Strategies: You will remember what is important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.
5. Events that completely alter your life:
Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are without a doubt and what your life means to you. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.
6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.
This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.
7. A sense of something “Impending”.
There is undoubtedly a feeling that something is generally about to happen. This can create anxiety.
Directions: There is certainly nothing to worry about. Things are definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you. All your thoughts “” positive or negative”” are truly prayers. There is really nothing to fear.
8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.
When you are truly around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.
Tip: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.
This occurs when you are without a doubt ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is literally adjusting to your “lighter” state.
Insight: Ground yourself by eating protein. At times “comfort food” feels right. Don’t make any food right or wrong for you. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment. Take your shoes off and put your feet in the grass for a couple of minutes.
10. Memories Resurface.
Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are definitely healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.
Guidance:. It is actually best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze every thing to death (because you will be usually stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
