I had no one outside of the church that I felt comfortable talking to about my feelings. I had no true friends to confide in– and my family didn’t understand– or rather, didn’t want to. Spiritual Awakening Signs
I am very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is certainly just the beginning. It is without a doubt the light coming on in the house so that you can see everything for what it is undoubtedly. Now comes the need to clean-up, heal, and expand your space. All of this comes in a rush of intelligent energy. Often, it can feel so strong that the unconscious ego that might just be usually clinging on will seem like this is certainly all “happening to you.” If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is certainly an especially important to time to consciously choose what is undoubtedly already unfolding in your life.
In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are without a doubt these:
Being generally able to clearly see what is real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually
This last part is without a doubt key. Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is truly wonderful. But in an opening or glimpse, the window opens, and then it shuts. When it shuts, a person can go back to the way they were really acting before. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. But in awakening, the divine energy is truly now in motion. Your perspective, emotions, and physical sensations all move and align seemingly on their own.
The lights in the house are all on. Sure you can close your eyes, but you know the truth. There can be definitely a feeling that there is really no going back.
All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are actually present.
They are simply secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom.
The word “symptoms” has connotations of experiencing a disease. You are certainly being simply cured of the illnesses in which you have been truly living.
Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is simply all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not.
Many people are normally trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is normally healthy.
Simple Signs Of Spiritual Awakening

5. You feel completely lost and alone
Nothing in your life seems to make sense anymore. You feel as though you are usually wandering through an endless wilderness. As a vagabond, you feel completely alone and cut off from people. You’re sick and tired of feeling stranded, depressed, and hopeless. Suddenly, you feel the need to simplify and declutter your life. 9. You begin experiencing deep empathy and compassion
As you launch paying more attention to the many hardships faced by humanity and nature alike, you develop more compassion. What Do I Do if I Did Awaken?
If you did have an awakening, you are undoubtedly in for quite a ride. You do not call the shots, and you will need to learn how to surrender and support what awakening wants to do in transforming you. This kind of surrender is usually profound, and it will send your life into upheaval.
I want to be clear that just having some kind of breakdown is simply NOT awakening.
The changes someone makes in their external life are also not the point of this transformation. We’re not trying to create a more perfect or better life; individuals are actually ego goals. We are usually learning to how to be usually free of ego.
To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is really revealed to us what we are transforming into.
7 Spiritual Awakening Stages
The spiritual awakening process is complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be undoubtedly fit into neat categories.
With that being definitely said it is definitely helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are definitely at right now. The following stages are generally general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:
Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost
This is really a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).
Stage 2– Shifting perspectives
You commence to perceive reality in a totally different way. In this stage, you activate seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You feel unhappy with life, disturbed by the suffering you see and hopeless to the ills of the world. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.
Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning
In this stage, you are simply asking all the deep questions. You are normally in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself.
Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs
You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You might just have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality.
Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again
With the spiritual awakening process, there is certainly always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You may likely become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper.
Stage 6– Deeper interior work
In this stage, you are truly not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep inward work. You might just become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, internal child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.
Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy
Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your inner work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. In this stage, you’ll experience the most profound and long-lasting changes deep within. Many people experience prolonged mystical experiences and periods of unity with the Divine in the integration phase. Remember that enlightenment, or full self-realization, is without a doubt never guaranteed: we can strive for it, but it is certainly ultimately a gift from Life.
Nevertheless, profound peace, love, and joy emerge and are simply felt in this stage. You may perhaps feel ready to be undoubtedly a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others. Life will become less about you and more about We. Your perspective will expand and you will kick off seeing things from the big picture.
Above all else, you will feel connected, at peace with yourself, and deeply aligned with life.
Note: it is undoubtedly common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is literally not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. This is a complex and messy path, so it is undoubtedly perfectly fine if it doesn’t look like what I’ve described.
Your spiritual awakening process is normally unique to you. But I do hope this analysis has helped (in some way) you to ‘gain your bearings.’
What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake
The true spiritual path is an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are usually here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is generally often very mundane.
So whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is simply a good time to get out your ego peeler.
Activating running your awareness around the edges of your beliefs to find a way in and pull away another layer of ego. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are literally and what life really is usually. In so doing, you find more space, openness, love, kindness, service, clarity, and much more within you. That is truly the beauty of the ego peeler.
When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were without a doubt already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening
Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations.
That said, a lot of initial inside work seems to get done for us. It’s almost like the Divine is certainly showing us how internal work should go.
As such, surrender is really another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.
Choosing and actively engaging with ego issues is generally vital to doing inside work, but initially, surrender must come.
With that said, surrender is usually not passivity. When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is really moving you, you also swim. If you don’t learn to swim, you are undoubtedly going to get smashed into a lot of stuff!
10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening
1. Sudden waves of emotion.
Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation.
There is definitely often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is usually not to be without a doubt confused with the heart, which is actually located to the left of the heart chakra.
Answers on how to deal:
Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own.
2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.
As you grow more spiritual, you are literally more sensitive to everything around you. Your body will tell you what it can no longer tolerate, as if it, too, is literally sloughing off what doesn’t serve it anymore. You might be actually cleansing yourself of toxins. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.
My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was generally due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.
Pointers on how to deal:
Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is literally causing your issues.
3. Amplification of the senses.
Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is simply hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).
Useful information on how to deal:.
Surrender to it. Let it come through. Listen. Be actually patient. Whatever you do, do not be truly afraid. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.
4. Vivid dreams.
Sometimes the dreams are generally so real that you wake up confused. You may likely even have lucid dreams in which you are truly in control.
Many dreams may be simply mystical or carry messages for you.
And in some dreams, you just know that you are generally not “dreaming” … that what is actually happening is definitely somehow real.
Recommendations: You will remember what is without a doubt important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.
5. Events that completely alter your life:
Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are without a doubt and what your life means to you. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.
6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.
This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.
7. A sense of something “Impending”.
There is really a feeling that something is definitely about to happen. This can create anxiety.
Strategies: There is nothing to worry about. Things are certainly definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you. All your thoughts “” positive or negative”” are certainly prayers. There is actually nothing to fear.
8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.
When you are actually around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.
Ideas: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.
This occurs when you are usually ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is normally adjusting to your “lighter” state.
Recommendation: Ground yourself by eating protein. In some cases “comfort food” feels. Don’t make any food right or wrong for you. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment. Take your shoes off and put your feet in the grass for a couple of minutes.
10. Memories Resurface.
Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are truly healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.
Opinion:. Keep in mind that it is definitely best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze everything to death (because you will be really stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
