All of this comes in a rush of intelligent energy. Sometimes, it can feel so strong that the unconscious ego that might just be undoubtedly clinging on will feel like this is simply all “happening to you.” If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is literally an especially important to time to consciously choose what is already unfolding in your life.

7 Spiritual Awakening Stages

The spiritual awakening process is actually complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be usually fit into neat categories.

However, with that being undoubtedly said it is generally helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are normally at right now. The following stages are simply general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:

Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost

This is undoubtedly a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).

Stage 2– Shifting perspectives

You create to perceive reality in a totally different way. In this stage, you start seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You feel unhappy with life, disturbed by the suffering you see and hopeless to the ills of the world. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.

Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning

There must be certainly a point to all this, right? In this stage, you are really asking all the deep questions. You are truly in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself. You will commence dabbling in different metaphysical, self-help, and esoteric fields in search for answers and truth.

Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs

After a lot of soul searching, you’ll find a few teachers, practices, or belief systems that ease your existential suffering.( Beware: a lot of spiritual bypassing can occur in this stage.) You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You may likely have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality. This is certainly a time of joy, hope, connection, and awe.

Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again

Life is without a doubt about movement. With the spiritual awakening process, there is undoubtedly always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You might possibly become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper. You may possibly have even experienced long periods of connection with the Divine, only to become separated again (this is simply normal). Understandably, you’ll feel disturbed and deeply upset by this experience. Additionally, while you might just have experienced many mental/emotional/spiritual breakthroughs, they might feel superficial. You crave for authenticity and for deep spirituality that permeates your life and transforms every part of you. The unhappiness and stagnation you feel will motivate you to go in search for more.

Stage 6– Deeper inner work

In this stage, you are simply not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep personal work. You might become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, personal child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.

Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy

Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your inside work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. In this stage, you’ll experience the most profound and long-lasting changes deep within. Many people experience prolonged mystical experiences and periods of unity with the Divine in the integration phase. Remember that enlightenment, or full self-realization, is really never guaranteed: we can strive for it, but it is undoubtedly ultimately a gift from Life.

Profound peace, love, and joy emerge and are normally felt in this stage. You might probably feel ready to be normally a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others. Life will become less about you and more about We. Your perspective will expand and you will launch seeing things from the big picture.

Above all else, you will feel connected, at peace with yourself, and deeply aligned with life.

Note: it is really common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is truly not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. This is literally a complex and messy path, so it is actually perfectly fine if it doesn’t look like what I’ve described.

Your spiritual awakening process is without a doubt unique to you. But I do hope this analysis has helped (in some way) you to ‘gain your bearings.’

What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake

The true spiritual path is without a doubt an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are really here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is usually often very mundane. It isn’t heavily decorated, and it isn’t complicated.

It is without a doubt simple, direct, and clear.

Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is really a good time to get out your ego peeler. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are undoubtedly and what life really is without a doubt.

When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were really already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening

Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations.

That said, a lot of initial personal work seems to get done for us. It is certainly almost like the Divine is actually showing us how inside work should go.

Surrender is without a doubt another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.

Choosing and actively engaging with ego issues is definitely vital to doing personal work, but initially, surrender must come.

With that said, surrender is not passivity. When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is actually moving you, you also swim. If you don’t learn to swim, you are certainly going to get smashed into a lot of stuff!

10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening

1. Sudden waves of emotion.

Crying at the drop of a hat. Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. Or inexplicably depressed. Very happy. Emotional roller coaster. There is normally often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest).

This is without a doubt not to be really confused with the heart, which is literally located to the left of the heart chakra.

Hints on how to deal:

Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own.

2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.

As you grow more spiritual, you are more sensitive to every thing around you. Your body will tell you what it can no longer tolerate, as if it, too, is sloughing off what doesn’t serve it anymore. You might be usually cleansing yourself of toxins. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.

My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was without a doubt due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.

Advice on how to deal:

Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is normally causing your issues.

3. Amplification of the senses.

Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is really hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).

Guidelines on how to deal:.

Surrender to it. Let it come through. Listen. Be actually patient. Whatever you do, do not be afraid. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.

4. Vivid dreams.

Many dreams might be without a doubt mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are undoubtedly not “dreaming” … that what is without a doubt happening is generally somehow real.

Help: You will remember what is normally important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.

5. Events that completely alter your life:

Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are literally and what your life means to you. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.

6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.

This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.

7. A sense of something “Impending”.

There is literally a feeling that something is about to happen. This can create anxiety.

Guidance: There is usually nothing to worry about. Things are really definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you. All your thoughts “” positive or negative”” are simply prayers. There is undoubtedly nothing to fear.

8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.

When you are generally around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.

Ideas: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.

9. Dizziness.

This occurs when you are literally ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is without a doubt adjusting to your “lighter” state.

Hints and tips: Ground yourself by eating protein. Occasionally “comfort food” feels. Don’t make any food right or wrong for you. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment. Take your shoes off and put your feet in the grass for a couple of minutes.

10. Memories Resurface.

Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are actually healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.

Support:. Keep in mind that it is definitely best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze every thing to death (because you will be without a doubt stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
