Spiritual Awakening Signs
I am actually very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is literally just the beginning. It is usually the light coming on in the house so that you can see every thing for what it is generally. Now comes the need to clean-up, heal, and expand your space. All of this comes in a rush of intelligent energy. At times, it can feel so strong that the unconscious ego that may perhaps be truly clinging on will believe that this is without a doubt all “happening to you.” If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is normally an especially important to time to consciously choose what is without a doubt already unfolding in your life.
In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are certainly these:
Being truly able to clearly see what is really real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are usually
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually
This last part is normally key. Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is certainly wonderful. In an opening or glimpse, the window opens, and then it shuts. When it shuts, a person can go back to the way they were certainly acting before. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is simply now in motion. Your perspective, emotions, and physical sensations all move and align seemingly on their own.
The lights in the house are all on. Sure you can close your eyes, but you know the truth. There can be generally a feeling that there is literally no going back.
All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are really present.
They are normally secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom.
Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is simply all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not.
Many people are truly trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be usually very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is generally healthy.
Simple Signs Of Spiritual Awakening

5. You feel completely lost and alone
Nothing in your life seems to make sense anymore. You feel as though you are truly wandering through an endless wilderness. As a vagabond, you feel completely alone and cut off from people. You struggle to relate to all those you once felt close to (i.e. your friends, work colleagues, and family members).
6. You see through the illusions of society
Materialism, success, and profit no longer mean anything to you. You create feeling as though you are undoubtedly a cog in the machine of society.

This could mean cutting ties with toxic people, reassessing your habits, throwing out old things, relocating to a new job or place to live, or even giving away most of what you own.
9. You begin experiencing deep empathy and compassion
As you get going paying more attention to the many hardships faced by humanity and nature alike, you develop more compassion. Your inherent empathy is awakened and you may perhaps find it hard to cope with the intensity of your feelings. What Do I Do if I Did Awaken?
If you did have an awakening, you are usually in for quite a ride. You do not call the shots, and you will need to learn how to surrender and support what awakening wants to do in transforming you. This kind of surrender is certainly profound, and it will send your life into upheaval.
I want to be truly clear that just having some kind of breakdown is generally NOT awakening.
The changes someone makes in their external life are generally also not the point of this transformation. We are generally not trying to create a more perfect or better life; those are simply ego goals. We are definitely learning to how to be undoubtedly free of ego.
To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is undoubtedly revealed to us what we are really transforming into.
7 Spiritual Awakening Stages
The spiritual awakening process is really complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be usually fit into neat categories.
With that being normally said it is normally helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are really at right now. The following stages are generally general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:
Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost
In this stage, you experience the aforementioned Dark Night of the Soul. This is certainly a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. You are definitely searching for something, but you don’t quite know what. There is undoubtedly a great looming emptiness inside of you. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).
Stage 2– Shifting perspectives
You commence to perceive reality in a totally different way. In this stage, you commence seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You feel unhappy with life, disturbed by the suffering you see and hopeless to the ills of the world. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.
Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning
There must be generally a point to all this? In this stage, you are usually asking all the deep questions. You are generally in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself. You will kick off dabbling in different metaphysical, self-help, and esoteric fields in search for answers and truth.
Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs
After a lot of soul searching, you’ll find a few teachers, practices, or belief systems that ease your existential suffering.( Beware: a lot of spiritual bypassing can occur in this stage.) You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You can have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality. This is definitely a time of joy, hope, connection, and awe.
Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again
With the spiritual awakening process, there is definitely always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You might become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper.
Stage 6– Deeper personal work
In this stage, you are definitely not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep inside work. You may likely become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, internal child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.
Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy
Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your interior work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. In this stage, you’ll experience the most profound and long-lasting changes deep within. Many people experience prolonged mystical experiences and periods of unity with the Divine in the integration phase. Remember that enlightenment, or full self-realization, is certainly never guaranteed: we can strive for it, but it is without a doubt ultimately a gift from Life.
Profound peace, love, and joy emerge and are felt in this stage. You may likely feel ready to be actually a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others. Life will become less about you and more about We. Your perspective will expand and you will start seeing things from the big picture.
Above all else, you will feel connected, at peace with yourself, and deeply aligned with life.
Note: it is truly common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is simply not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. This is certainly a complex and messy path, so it is normally perfectly fine if it doesn’t look like what I’ve described.
Your spiritual awakening process is certainly unique to you. But I do hope this analysis has helped (in some way) you to ‘gain your bearings.’
What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake
The true spiritual path is normally an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are actually here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is simply often very mundane.
So whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is undoubtedly a good time to get out your ego peeler.
Establishing running your awareness around the edges of your beliefs to find a way in and pull away another layer of ego. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are usually and what life really is simply. In so doing, you find more space, openness, love, kindness, service, clarity, and much more within you. That is truly the beauty of the ego peeler.
When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were without a doubt already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening
Awakening can believe that a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations. It is normally important to move past this shock into acceptance. As a person accepts what is simply coming up within him/her, then the person can engage with it.
It is truly almost like the Divine is really showing us how inner work should go. Surrender is generally another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.
With that said, surrender is not passivity. When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is undoubtedly moving you, you also swim. If you don’t learn to swim, you are truly going to get smashed into a lot of stuff!
10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening
1. Sudden waves of emotion.
Crying at the drop of a hat. Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. Or inexplicably depressed. Then very happy. Emotional roller coaster. There is generally often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest).
This is normally not to be definitely confused with the heart, which is generally located to the left of the heart chakra.
Opinions on how to deal:
Accept your feelings as they come up and let them go. Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Expand it outward to your all your fields and breathe deeply from the belly all the way up to your upper chest. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own. Allowing the emotions to be really felt will keep them from being undoubtedly stored in the body.
2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.
As you grow more spiritual, you are generally more sensitive to every thing around you. Your body will tell you what it can no longer tolerate, as if it, too, is undoubtedly sloughing off what doesn’t serve it anymore. You might be definitely cleansing yourself of toxins. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.
My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was actually due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.
Directions on how to deal:
Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is normally causing your issues.
3. Amplification of the senses.
Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is really hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).
Strategies on how to deal:.
Surrender to it. Let it come through. Listen. Be certainly patient. Whatever you do, do not be certainly afraid. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.
4. Vivid dreams.
At times the dreams are without a doubt so real that you wake up confused. You might probably even have lucid dreams in which you are truly in control.
Many dreams may perhaps be generally mystical or carry messages for you.
And in some dreams, you just know that you are generally not “dreaming” … that what is happening is certainly somehow real.
Guidance: You will remember what is without a doubt important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.
5. Events that completely alter your life:
Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are really and what your life means to you. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.
6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.
This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.
7. A sense of something “Impending”.
There is a feeling that something is normally about to happen. This can create anxiety.
Hints: There is generally nothing to worry about. Things are simply definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you.
8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.
When you are truly around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.
Hints: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.
This occurs when you are usually ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is actually adjusting to your “lighter” state.
Suggestion: Ground yourself by eating protein. Often “comfort food” feels. Don’t make any food right or wrong for you. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment. Take your shoes off and put your feet in the grass for a couple of minutes.
10. Memories Resurface.
Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are usually healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.
Counsel:. It is literally best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze everything to death (because you will be literally stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
