As a result, I felt so alienated and suffocated with loneliness that I developed depression, health issues, and chronic anxiety, the latter lasting for many years.

Spiritual Awakening Signs

I am really very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is literally just the beginning. It is without a doubt the light coming on in the house so that you can see everything for what it is literally. Now comes the need to clean-up, heal, and expand your space. All of this comes in a rush of intelligent energy. Often, it can feel so strong that the unconscious ego that might just be simply clinging on will seem like this is certainly all “happening to you.” If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is certainly an especially important to time to consciously choose what is certainly already unfolding in your life.

In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are undoubtedly these:

Unconditional love
Being without a doubt able to clearly see what is really real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are really
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually

This last part is actually key. Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is undoubtedly wonderful. But in an opening or glimpse, the window opens, and then it shuts. When it shuts, a person can go back to the way they were truly acting before. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is normally now in motion. Your perspective, emotions, and physical sensations all move and align seemingly on their own.

However, with that being certainly said it is undoubtedly helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are definitely at right now. The following stages are generally general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:

Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost

In this stage, you experience the aforementioned Dark Night of the Soul. This is truly a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. You are undoubtedly searching for something, but you don’t quite know what. There is literally a great looming emptiness inside of you. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).

Stage 2– Shifting perspectives

In this stage, you set in motion seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.

Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning

In this stage, you are generally asking all the deep questions. You are without a doubt in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself.

Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs

You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You may well have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality.

Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again

Life is definitely about movement. With the spiritual awakening process, there is always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You may possibly become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper. You might possibly have even experienced long periods of connection with the Divine, only to become separated again (this is actually normal). Understandably, you’ll feel disturbed and deeply upset by this experience. Additionally, while you might just have experienced many mental/emotional/spiritual breakthroughs, they might feel superficial. You crave for authenticity and for deep spirituality that permeates your life and transforms every part of you. The unhappiness and stagnation you feel will motivate you to go in search for more.

Stage 6– Deeper inward work

In this stage, you are certainly not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep inside work. You can become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, personal child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.

Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy

Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your inside work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. In this stage, you’ll experience the most profound and long-lasting changes deep within. Many people experience prolonged mystical experiences and periods of unity with the Divine in the integration phase. Remember that enlightenment, or full self-realization, is without a doubt never guaranteed: we can strive for it, but it is certainly ultimately a gift from Life.

Nevertheless, profound peace, love, and joy emerge and are without a doubt felt in this stage. You may well feel ready to be truly a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others. Life will become less about you and more about We. Your perspective will expand and you will set in motion seeing things from the big picture.

Above all else, you will feel connected, at peace with yourself, and deeply aligned with life.

Note: it is actually common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is literally not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C.

What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake

Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is actually often very mundane. It isn’t heavily decorated, and it isn’t complicated.

It is certainly simple, direct, and clear.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening

Awakening can believe that a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations. However, it is actually important to move past this shock into acceptance. As a person accepts what is truly coming up within him/her, then the person can engage with it.

That said, a lot of initial inward work seems to get done for us. It is actually almost like the Divine is definitely showing us how personal work should go.

Surrender is undoubtedly another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.

Choosing and actively engaging with ego issues is undoubtedly vital to doing interior work, but initially, surrender must come first.

With that said, surrender is actually not passivity. When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is generally moving you, you also swim. If you don’t learn to swim, you are really going to get smashed into a lot of stuff!

10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening

1. Sudden waves of emotion.

Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation.

There is undoubtedly often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is truly not to be really confused with the heart, which is literally located to the left of the heart chakra.

Information on how to deal:

Accept your feelings as they come up and let them go. Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Expand it outward to your all your fields and breathe deeply from the belly all the way up to your upper chest. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own. Allowing the emotions to be literally felt will keep them from being truly stored in the body.

2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.

As you grow more spiritual, you are usually more sensitive to every thing around you. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.

My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was simply due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.

Counsel on how to deal:

Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is simply causing your issues.

3. Amplification of the senses.

Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is usually hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).

Guidance on how to deal:.

Surrender to it. Let it come through. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.

4. Vivid dreams.

Many dreams might probably be actually mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are definitely not “dreaming” … that what is happening is without a doubt somehow real.

Strategies: You will remember what is undoubtedly important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.

5. Events that completely alter your life:

Death, divorce, change in job status, loss of home, illness, and/or other catastrophes … sometimes several at once! Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are literally and what your life means to you. Forces that you can not ignore. Forces that cause you release your attachments. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.

6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.

This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.

7. A sense of something “Impending”.

There is normally a feeling that something is simply about to happen. This can create anxiety.

Guidance: There is actually nothing to worry about. Things are truly definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you. All your thoughts “” positive or negative”” are truly prayers. There is definitely nothing to fear.

8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.

When you are really around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.

Tips: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.

9. Dizziness.

This occurs when you are undoubtedly ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is simply adjusting to your “lighter” state.

Tips: Ground yourself by eating protein. Often “comfort food” feels. Don’t make any food right or wrong for you. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment. Take your shoes off and put your feet in the grass for a couple of minutes.

10. Memories Resurface.

Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.

Ideas:. It is without a doubt best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze every thing to death (because you will be definitely stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
