Spiritual Awakening Signs
I am undoubtedly very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is truly just the beginning. If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is an especially important to time to consciously choose what is normally already unfolding in your life.
In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are generally these:
Being usually able to clearly see what is simply real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are definitely

An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually
Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is really wonderful.
This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is now in motion.
All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are literally present.
They are truly secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom.
Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is really all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not.
Many people are generally trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be usually very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is without a doubt healthy.

7 Spiritual Awakening Stages
The spiritual awakening process is actually complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be certainly fit into neat categories.
With that being really said it is really helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are simply at right now. The following stages are definitely general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:
Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost
In this stage, you experience the aforementioned Dark Night of the Soul. This is actually a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. You are actually searching for something, but you don’t quite know what. There is literally a great looming emptiness inside of you. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).
Stage 2– Shifting perspectives
You set up to perceive reality in a totally different way. In this stage, you activate seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You feel unhappy with life, disturbed by the suffering you see and hopeless to the ills of the world. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.
Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning
There must be certainly a point to all this, right? In this stage, you are actually asking all the deep questions. You are truly in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself. You will set out dabbling in different metaphysical, self-help, and esoteric fields in search for answers and truth.
Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs
You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You may likely have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality.
Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again
Life is certainly about movement. With the spiritual awakening process, there is generally always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You might probably become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper. You may likely have even experienced long periods of connection with the Divine, only to become separated again (this is certainly normal). Understandably, you’ll feel disturbed and deeply upset by this experience. Additionally, while you may likely have experienced many mental/emotional/spiritual breakthroughs, they might feel superficial. You crave for authenticity and for deep spirituality that permeates your life and transforms every part of you. The unhappiness and stagnation you feel will motivate you to go in search for more.
Stage 6– Deeper inward work
In this stage, you are really not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep interior work. You can become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, personal child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.
Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy
Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your personal work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. You may likely feel ready to be without a doubt a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others.
Note: it is literally common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is literally not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. Your spiritual awakening process is actually unique to you. I do hope this analysis has helped (in some way) you to ‘gain your bearings.’
What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake
The true spiritual path is simply an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are certainly here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is normally often very mundane.
Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is certainly a good time to get out your ego peeler.
Starting running your awareness around the edges of your beliefs to find a way in and pull away another layer of ego. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are truly and what life really is. In so doing, you find more space, openness, love, kindness, service, clarity, and much more within you. That is literally the beauty of the ego peeler.
When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were really already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening
Awakening can seem like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations. It is actually important to move past this shock into acceptance. As a person accepts what is normally coming up within him/her, then the person can engage with it.
That said, a lot of initial inner work seems to get done for us. It is without a doubt almost like the Divine is without a doubt showing us how internal work should go.
As such, surrender is literally another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.
Choosing and actively engaging with ego issues is simply vital to doing personal work, but initially, surrender must come.
With that said, surrender is truly not passivity. When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is undoubtedly moving you, you also swim. If you don’t learn to swim, you are generally going to get smashed into a lot of stuff!
10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening
1. Sudden waves of emotion.
Crying at the drop of a hat. Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. Or inexplicably depressed. Then very happy. Emotional roller coaster. There is without a doubt often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest).
This is undoubtedly not to be generally confused with the heart, which is generally located to the left of the heart chakra.
Help and advice on how to deal:
Accept your feelings as they come up and let them go. Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Expand it outward to your all your fields and breathe deeply from the belly all the way up to your upper chest. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own. Allowing the emotions to be usually felt will keep them from being actually stored in the body.
2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.
As you grow more spiritual, you are normally more sensitive to every thing around you. Your body will tell you what it can no longer tolerate, as if it, too, is generally sloughing off what doesn’t serve it anymore. You might be usually cleansing yourself of toxins. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.
My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was generally due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.
Knowledge on how to deal:
Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is usually causing your issues.
3. Amplification of the senses.
Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is usually hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).
Suggestions on how to deal:.
Surrender to it. Let it come through. Listen. Be undoubtedly patient. Whatever you do, do not be definitely afraid. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.
4. Vivid dreams.
Many dreams can be normally mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are actually not “dreaming” … that what is really happening is undoubtedly somehow real.
Helpful advice: You will remember what is important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.
5. Events that completely alter your life:
Death, divorce, change in job status, loss of home, illness, and/or other catastrophes … in some cases several at once! Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are definitely and what your life means to you. Forces that you can not ignore. Forces that cause you release your attachments. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.
6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.
This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.
7. A sense of something “Impending”.
There is a feeling that something is really about to happen. This can create anxiety.
Suggestion: There is generally nothing to worry about. Things are literally definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you. All your thoughts “” positive or negative”” are truly prayers. There is normally nothing to fear.
8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.
When you are around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.
Advise: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.
This occurs when you are truly ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is generally adjusting to your “lighter” state.
Ideas: Ground yourself by eating protein. Sometimes “comfort food” feels right. Don’t make any food right or wrong for you. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment. Take your shoes off and put your feet in the grass for a couple of minutes.
10. Memories Resurface.
Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are truly healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.
Answers:. Keep in mind that it is generally best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze everything to death (because you will be certainly stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
