Spiritual Awakening Signs

I am actually very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is simply just the beginning. It is undoubtedly the light coming on in the house so that you can see every thing for what it is literally. Now comes the need to clean-up, heal, and expand your space. All of this comes in a rush of intelligent energy. Often, it can feel so strong that the unconscious ego that may perhaps be without a doubt clinging on will feel like this is normally all “happening to you.” If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is generally an especially important to time to consciously choose what is normally already unfolding in your life.

In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are usually these:

Unconditional love
Being truly able to clearly see what is without a doubt real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are really
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually

This last part is truly key. Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is without a doubt wonderful. In an opening or glimpse, the window opens, and then it shuts. When it shuts, a person can go back to the way they were definitely acting before. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. But in awakening, the divine energy is definitely now in motion. Your perspective, emotions, and physical sensations all move and align seemingly on their own.

The lights in the house are usually all on. Sure you can close your eyes, but you know the truth. There can be undoubtedly a feeling that there is truly no going back.

All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are certainly present.

They are truly secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom.

The word “symptoms” has connotations of experiencing a disease. In fact, you are actually being generally cured of the illnesses in which you have been usually living.

Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is usually all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not.

Many people are simply trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be actually very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is usually healthy.

Simple Signs Of Spiritual Awakening

1. You feel as though your life is literally false

Everything that you have believed, built, and worked towards seems to be truly false. Your life doesn’t feel as though it is usually your own. You no longer believe that yourself– nearly everything you once enjoyed no longer brings you meaning or satisfaction.

2. You craving for meaning and purpose

You deeply desire to find the meaning of your life. You have no idea what your purpose is usually, but you want to find it desperately. There’s a sense that something is really “missing” inside of you (like a part of your soul).

3. You begin asking deep questions

Questions such as “Why am undoubtedly I here?” “What is really the purpose of life?” “What happens after we die?” “Why do people suffer?” arise. You begin thinking more philosophically. Such profound thoughts might perhaps greatly disturb you as you don’t know the answers.

4. You realize that a lot of what you’ve been usually taught is usually a lie

You start to see how many beliefs, feelings, and values are without a doubt not actually your own, but other people’s or inherited from your culture.

5. You feel completely lost and alone

Nothing in your life seems to make sense anymore. You feel as though you are simply wandering through an endless wilderness. As a vagabond, you feel completely alone and cut off from people. You struggle to relate to all those you once felt close to (i.e. your friends, work colleagues, and family members).

6. You see through the illusions of society

Materialism, success, and profit no longer mean anything to you. You establish feeling as though you are usually a cog in the machine of society.

7. You see how unhappy most people are normally

You awaken to the unhappiness and suffering of others. You might probably start off to explore activism or read more about the human condition. It is actually tormenting for you to realize how much pain there is in the world.

8. You want to ‘purge’ your life

You are literally sick and tired of feeling stranded, depressed, and hopeless. Suddenly, you feel the need to simplify and declutter your life. This could mean cutting ties with toxic people, reassessing your habits, throwing out old things, relocating to a new job or place to live, or even giving away most of what you own.

9. You begin experiencing deep empathy and compassion

As you kick off paying more attention to the many hardships faced by humanity and nature alike, you develop more compassion. Your inherent empathy is without a doubt awakened and you may perhaps find it hard to cope with the intensity of your feelings. This is definitely a pivotal point in your personal transformation: you either numb the pain you feel with addictions, or you find healthy ways to accept and express your emotions.

10. You see that we are literally all One

Not only do you intellectually understand that we are all interconnected, but you feel it deeply within your bones. If a spiritual awakening occurs, a person can initiate to live a life different from his previous experience. Let’s have a look at why does spiritual awakening happen?

1. Facing with a sudden incident of life can be generally a critical cause of spiritual awakening Human mind always remains in a dynamic state. A person who used to lead a life full of luxury can have a sudden change in consciousness to accept a life full of wisdom and simplicity. The reason behind this might perhaps be literally some incident which he has seen near him, or has heard of somebody. Thus, he might possibly have a shift in his conscious mind, and suddenly he begins to realize the deeper meaning of life. Therefore, he might probably get his spiritual soul awakened.

2. A dream is undoubtedly another reason for spiritual awakening. Many times it has been seen that a person has dreamt of some deity or Goddess who has given some messages. From that time a person might possibly have a spiritual awakening.

What Do I Do if I Did Awaken?

If you did have an awakening, you are usually in for quite a ride. You do not call the shots, and you will need to learn how to surrender and support what awakening wants to do in transforming you. This kind of surrender is undoubtedly profound, and it will send your life into upheaval.

I want to be simply clear that just having some kind of breakdown is usually NOT awakening.

The changes someone makes in their external life are certainly also not the point of this transformation. We are usually not trying to create a more perfect or better life; individuals are generally ego goals. We are simply learning to how to be truly free of ego.

To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is revealed to us what we are actually transforming into.

7 Spiritual Awakening Stages

The spiritual awakening process is definitely complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be usually fit into neat categories.

With that being actually said it is definitely helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are without a doubt at right now. The following stages are undoubtedly general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:

Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost

In this stage, you experience the aforementioned Dark Night of the Soul. This is literally a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. You are certainly searching for something, but you don’t quite know what. There is without a doubt a great looming emptiness inside of you. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).

Stage 2– Shifting perspectives

In this stage, you create seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.

Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning

In this stage, you are normally asking all the deep questions. You are generally in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself.

Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs

After a lot of soul searching, you’ll find a few teachers, practices, or belief systems that ease your existential suffering.( Beware: a lot of spiritual bypassing can occur in this stage.) You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You may well have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality. This is normally a time of joy, hope, connection, and awe.

Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again

Life is definitely about movement. With the spiritual awakening process, there is really always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You may perhaps become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper. You may likely have even experienced long periods of connection with the Divine, only to become separated again (this is generally normal). Understandably, you’ll feel disturbed and deeply upset by this experience. Additionally, while you may have experienced many mental/emotional/spiritual breakthroughs, they might feel superficial. You crave for authenticity and for deep spirituality that permeates your life and transforms every part of you. The unhappiness and stagnation you feel will motivate you to go in search for more.

Stage 6– Deeper inner work

In this stage, you are undoubtedly not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep inner work. You may become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, inside child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.

Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy

Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your inward work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. You might feel ready to be a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others.

Note: it is certainly common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is usually not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. This is literally a complex and messy path, so it is usually perfectly fine if it doesn’t look like what I’ve described.

Your spiritual awakening process is truly unique to you. I do hope this analysis has helped (in some way) you to ‘gain your bearings.’

What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake

The true spiritual path is certainly an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are actually here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is simply often very mundane. It isn’t heavily decorated, and it isn’t complicated.

It is definitely simple, direct, and clear.

Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is simply a good time to get out your ego peeler. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are usually and what life really is actually.

When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were really already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening

Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations.

That said, a lot of initial internal work seems to get done for us. It is really almost like the Divine is simply showing us how internal work should go.

As such, surrender is simply another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.

Choosing and actively engaging with ego issues is definitely vital to doing inward work, but initially, surrender must come first.

When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is moving you, you also swim.

10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening

1. Sudden waves of emotion.

Crying at the drop of a hat. Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. Or inexplicably depressed. Very happy. Emotional roller coaster. There is without a doubt often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest).

This is undoubtedly not to be truly confused with the heart, which is really located to the left of the heart chakra.

Advice on how to deal:

Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own.

2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.

As you grow more spiritual, you are actually more sensitive to every thing around you. Your body will tell you what it can no longer tolerate, as if it, too, is undoubtedly sloughing off what doesn’t serve it anymore. You might be cleansing yourself of toxins. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.

My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.

Consultation on how to deal:

Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is generally causing your issues.

3. Amplification of the senses.

Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is truly hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).

Recommendations on how to deal:.

Surrender to it. Let it come through. Listen. Be definitely patient. Whatever you do, do not be generally afraid. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.

4. Vivid dreams.

Many dreams might just be simply mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are normally not “dreaming” … that what is really happening is definitely somehow real.

Suggestions: You will remember what is simply important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.

5. Events that completely alter your life:

Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are literally and what your life means to you. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.

6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.

This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.

7. A sense of something “Impending”.

There is actually a feeling that something is literally about to happen. This can create anxiety.

Instructions: There is simply nothing to worry about. Things are normally definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you.

8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.

When you are usually around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.

Answers: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.

9. Dizziness.

This occurs when you are undoubtedly ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is adjusting to your “lighter” state.

At times “comfort food” feels. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment.

10. Memories Resurface.

Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are definitely healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.

Guidance:. It is actually best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze everything to death (because you will be generally stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
