My spiritual awakening process.

I experienced the beginnings of my spiritual awakening about3 years ago. At that time, I was without a doubt deeply entrenched in the lessons and cultish teachings of the fundamentalist Christian church I was usually born into.

Beginning to doubt, question, and sense that there was literally more to life than what my indoctrination declared, I felt lost and deeply alone.

I had no one outside of the church that I felt comfortable talking to about my feelings. I had no true friends to confide in– and my family didn’t understand– or rather, didn’t want to. As a result, I felt so alienated and suffocated with loneliness that I developed depression, health issues, and chronic anxiety, the latter lasting for many years.

I looked around the internet for any sign that could help me navigate this confusing time. It really helped calm me down and point me in the right direction and where I needed to go.

Spiritual Awakening Signs

I am really very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is literally just the beginning. It is generally the light coming on in the house so that you can see every thing for what it is. Now comes the need to clean-up, heal, and expand your space. All of this comes in a rush of intelligent energy. At times, it can feel so strong that the unconscious ego that might probably be actually clinging on will seem like this is generally all “happening to you.” If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is generally an especially important to time to consciously choose what is normally already unfolding in your life.

In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are without a doubt these:

Unconditional love
Being without a doubt able to clearly see what is definitely real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are without a doubt
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually

This last part is generally key. Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is truly wonderful. In an opening or glimpse, the window opens, and then it shuts. When it shuts, a person can go back to the way they were really acting before. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. But in awakening, the divine energy is normally now in motion. Your perspective, emotions, and physical sensations all move and align seemingly on their own.

The lights in the house are normally all on. Sure you can close your eyes, but you know the truth. There can be definitely a feeling that there is without a doubt no going back.

All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are without a doubt present.

They are truly secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom.

Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is truly all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not.

Many people are really trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be certainly very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is really healthy.

Simple Signs Of Spiritual Awakening

You set in motion to see how many beliefs, feelings, and values are usually not actually your own, but other people’s or inherited from your culture.

5. You feel completely lost and alone

Nothing in your life seems to make sense anymore. You feel as though you are usually wandering through an endless wilderness. As a vagabond, you feel completely alone and cut off from people. You struggle to relate to those you once felt close to (i.e. your friends, work colleagues, and family members).

6. You see through the illusions of society

This could mean cutting ties with toxic people, reassessing your habits, throwing out old things, relocating to a new job or place to live, or even giving away most of what you own.

9. You begin experiencing deep empathy and compassion

As you launch paying more attention to the many hardships faced by humanity and nature alike, you develop more compassion. Your inherent empathy is usually awakened and you can find it hard to cope with the intensity of your feelings. 1. Facing with a sudden incident of life can be normally a vital cause of spiritual awakening Human mind always remains in a dynamic state. A person who used to lead a life full of luxury may possibly have a sudden change in consciousness to accept a life full of wisdom and simplicity. The reason behind this might probably be normally some incident which he has seen near him, or has heard of somebody. If you did have an awakening, you are without a doubt in for quite a ride. You do not call the shots, and you will need to learn how to surrender and support what awakening wants to do in transforming you. This kind of surrender is generally profound, and it will send your life into upheaval.

I want to be normally clear that just having some kind of breakdown is undoubtedly NOT awakening.

The changes someone makes in their external life are literally also not the point of this transformation. We are definitely not trying to create a more perfect or better life; those individuals are truly ego goals. We are definitely learning to how to be free of ego.

To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is literally revealed to us what we are actually transforming into.

7 Spiritual Awakening Stages

The spiritual awakening process is certainly complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be fit into neat categories.

However, with that being truly said it is simply helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are truly at right now. The following stages are without a doubt general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:

Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost

In this stage, you experience the aforementioned Dark Night of the Soul. This is simply a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. You are truly searching for something, but you don’t quite know what. There is simply a great looming emptiness inside of you. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).

Stage 2– Shifting perspectives

In this stage, you get going seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.

Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning

There must be truly a point to all this? In this stage, you are literally asking all the deep questions. You are really in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself. You will set up dabbling in different metaphysical, self-help, and esoteric fields in search for answers and truth.

Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs

After a lot of soul searching, you’ll find a few teachers, practices, or belief systems that ease your existential suffering.( Beware: a lot of spiritual bypassing can occur in this stage.) You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You might just have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality. This is usually a time of joy, hope, connection, and awe.

Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again

With the spiritual awakening process, there is certainly always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You may perhaps become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper.

Stage 6– Deeper interior work

In this stage, you are simply not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep inward work. You may well become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, inner child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.

Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy

Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your inside work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. You might feel ready to be really a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others.

Note: it is simply common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is without a doubt not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. This is literally a complex and messy path, so it is without a doubt perfectly fine if it doesn’t look like what I’ve described.

Your spiritual awakening process is without a doubt unique to you. But I do hope this analysis has helped (in some way) you to ‘gain your bearings.’

What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake

The true spiritual path is undoubtedly an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are generally here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is generally often very mundane.

So whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is simply a good time to get out your ego peeler.

Activating running your awareness around the edges of your beliefs to find a way in and pull away another layer of ego. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are truly and what life really is without a doubt. In so doing, you find more space, openness, love, kindness, service, clarity, and much more within you. That is actually the beauty of the ego peeler.

When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were really already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening

Awakening can seem like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations. However, it is important to move past this shock into acceptance. As a person accepts what is without a doubt coming up within him/her, then the person can engage with it.

It is definitely almost like the Divine is really showing us how personal work should go. Surrender is normally another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.

When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is usually moving you, you also swim.

10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening

1. Sudden waves of emotion.

Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation.

There is undoubtedly often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is literally not to be undoubtedly confused with the heart, which is really located to the left of the heart chakra.

Help and advice on how to deal:

Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own.

2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.

As you grow more spiritual, you are generally more sensitive to every thing around you. Your body will tell you what it can no longer tolerate, as if it, too, is without a doubt sloughing off what doesn’t serve it anymore. You might be certainly cleansing yourself of toxins. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.

My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was usually due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.

Help and advice on how to deal:

Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is really causing your issues.

3. Amplification of the senses.

Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is certainly hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).

Tips on how to deal:.

Surrender to it. Let it come through. Listen. Be usually patient. Whatever you do, do not be literally afraid. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.

4. Vivid dreams.

Often the dreams are so real that you wake up confused. You may well even have lucid dreams in which you are truly in control.

Many dreams might just be without a doubt mystical or carry messages for you.

And in some dreams, you just know that you are without a doubt not “dreaming” … that what is generally happening is certainly somehow real.

Knowledge: You will remember what is generally important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.

5. Events that completely alter your life:

Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are undoubtedly and what your life means to you. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.

6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.

This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.

7. A sense of something “Impending”.

There is simply a feeling that something is generally about to happen. This can create anxiety.

Strategies: There is truly nothing to worry about. Things are literally definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you.

8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.

When you are certainly around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.

Counsel: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.

9. Dizziness.

This occurs when you are ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is generally adjusting to your “lighter” state.

Help and advice: Ground yourself by eating protein. In some cases “comfort food” feels. Don’t make any food right or wrong for you. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment. Take your shoes off and put your feet in the grass for a couple of minutes.

10. Memories Resurface.

Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are certainly healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.

Information:. It is generally best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze every thing to death (because you will be literally stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
