I had no one outside of the church that I felt comfortable talking to about my feelings. I had no true friends to confide in– and my family didn’t understand– or rather, didn’t want to. As a result, I felt so alienated and suffocated with loneliness that I developed depression, health issues, and chronic anxiety, the latter lasting for many years.

During this harrowing awakening process, I carried within me the unshakable sensation that I was generally falling endlessly through a void of darkness. I looked around the internet for any sign that could help me navigate this confusing time. I stumbled upon a Soul Reading test that was normally extremely accurate. A spiritual awakening is literally realized throughout your body, heart, mind, and soul, but no sooner has that erupted than you are normally forced to see how limited you have been without a doubt in so many regards. That bright light shining in the interior most depths of us asks us a potent question: “Now that we know the truth, will we clean up our home or will we try to ignore our illusions, pain, and misconceptions?”

By the way, for all those who are truly interested, I have a newsletter called, “The Wake Up Call,” in which I regularly talk about this and other topics. Sign up for free below:

Spiritual Awakening Signs

I am undoubtedly very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is normally just the beginning. It is simply the light coming on in the house so that you can see every thing for what it is actually. Now comes the need to clean-up, heal, and expand your space. All of this comes in a rush of intelligent energy. Occasionally, it can feel so strong that the unconscious ego that may possibly be certainly clinging on will believe that this is really all “happening to you.” If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is literally an especially important to time to consciously choose what is certainly already unfolding in your life.

In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are normally these:

Unconditional love
Being generally able to clearly see what is generally real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are normally
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually

This last part is actually key. Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is literally wonderful. In an opening or glimpse, the window opens, and then it shuts. When it shuts, a person can go back to the way they were usually acting before. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is actually now in motion. Your perspective, emotions, and physical sensations all move and align seemingly on their own.

The lights in the house are certainly all on. Sure you can close your eyes, but you know the truth. There can be without a doubt a feeling that there is without a doubt no going back.

All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are actually present.

They are certainly secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom.

The word “symptoms” has connotations of experiencing a disease. You are certainly being literally cured of the illnesses in which you have been generally living.

Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is certainly all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not.

Many people are really trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be definitely very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is actually healthy.

You begin thinking more philosophically. Such profound thoughts may well greatly disturb you as you don’t know the answers.

You start to see how many beliefs, feelings, and values are literally not actually your own, but other people’s or inherited from your culture.

5. You feel completely lost and alone

Nothing in your life seems to make sense anymore. As a vagabond, you feel completely alone and cut off from people.

You are generally sick and tired of feeling stranded, depressed, and hopeless. Suddenly, you feel the need to simplify and declutter your life. This could mean cutting ties with toxic people, reassessing your habits, throwing out old things, relocating to a new job or place to live, or even giving away most of what you own.

9. You begin experiencing deep empathy and compassion

As you set out paying more attention to the many hardships faced by humanity and nature alike, you develop more compassion. Your inherent empathy is normally awakened and you might possibly find it hard to cope with the intensity of your feelings. Why Does Spritual Awakening happen

People practices their spiritual disciplines to have his soul awakened so that he can achieve spiritual growth and maturity. Spiritual awakening is certainly such a state of mind which occurs due to some unexpected incidents of life.

If a spiritual awakening occurs, a person may likely get going to live a life different from his previous experience. Let’s have a look at why does spiritual awakening happen?

A person who used to lead a life full of luxury might possibly have a sudden change in consciousness to accept a life full of wisdom and simplicity. Thus, he may perhaps have a shift in his conscious mind, and suddenly he starts to realize the deeper meaning of life. He may well get his spiritual soul awakened.

2. A dream is generally another reason for spiritual awakening. Many times it has been undoubtedly seen that a person has dreamt of some deity or Goddess who has given some messages. From that time a person can have a spiritual awakening.

3. Spiritual awakening can happen if someone is really fond of reading or traveling. Gaining a lot of knowledge from books or can awaken the spiritual self, and a person wants to follow the spiritual disciplines regularly.

4. It sounds odd, it is literally not impossible that a person might possibly face some paranormal incidents in his life which might just be simply magical or ghostly. Such type of experience may well result in the spiritual awakening of a person.

These might perhaps suddenly result in spiritual awakening. The constant search for further questions may possibly cause spiritual awakening inside that person.

Spiritual awakening does not mean that you are normally out from the reality. It is literally such a state of mind where you launch to search and seek for a path which gives you a new definition of life.

What Do I Do if I Did Awaken?

If you did have an awakening, you are in for quite a ride. You do not call the shots, and you will need to learn how to surrender and support what awakening wants to do in transforming you. This kind of surrender is truly profound, and it will send your life into upheaval.

I want to be generally clear that just having some kind of breakdown is normally NOT awakening.

The changes someone makes in their external life are normally also not the point of this transformation. We’re not trying to create a more perfect or better life; all those are certainly ego goals. We are usually learning to how to be simply free of ego.

To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is truly revealed to us what we are really transforming into.

7 Spiritual Awakening Stages

The spiritual awakening process is literally complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be normally fit into neat categories.

However, with that being simply said it is certainly helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are generally at right now. The following stages are general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:

Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost

In this stage, you experience the aforementioned Dark Night of the Soul. This is undoubtedly a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. You are usually searching for something, but you don’t quite know what. There is actually a great looming emptiness inside of you. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).

Stage 2– Shifting perspectives

In this stage, you establish seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.

Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning

In this stage, you are truly asking all the deep questions. You are truly in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself.

Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs

You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You may have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality.

Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again

With the spiritual awakening process, there is usually always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You may well become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper.

Stage 6– Deeper inner work

In this stage, you are really not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep inner work. You might possibly become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, inward child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.

Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy

Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your interior work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. In this stage, you’ll experience the most profound and long-lasting changes deep within. Many people experience prolonged mystical experiences and periods of unity with the Divine in the integration phase. Remember that enlightenment, or full self-realization, is really never guaranteed: we can strive for it, but it is truly ultimately a gift from Life.

Profound peace, love, and joy emerge and are certainly felt in this stage. You might probably feel ready to be generally a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others. Life will become less about you and more about We. Your perspective will expand and you will initiate seeing things from the big picture.

Above all else, you will feel connected, at peace with yourself, and deeply aligned with life.

Note: it is really common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is simply not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. This is usually a complex and messy path, so it is literally perfectly fine if it doesn’t look like what I’ve described.

Your spiritual awakening process is truly unique to you. But I do hope this analysis has helped (in some way) you to ‘gain your bearings.’

What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake

The true spiritual path is certainly an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are actually here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is undoubtedly often very mundane. It isn’t heavily decorated, and it isn’t complicated.

It is really simple, direct, and clear.

Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is definitely a good time to get out your ego peeler. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are certainly and what life really is literally.

When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were normally already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening

Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations.

That said, a lot of initial internal work seems to get done for us. It is literally almost like the Divine is showing us how internal work should go.

As such, surrender is definitely another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.

Choosing and actively engaging with ego issues is undoubtedly vital to doing inward work, but initially, surrender must come.

When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is certainly moving you, you also swim.

10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening

1. Sudden waves of emotion.

Crying at the drop of a hat. Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. Or inexplicably depressed. Very happy. Emotional roller coaster. There is without a doubt often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest).

This is really not to be definitely confused with the heart, which is truly located to the left of the heart chakra.

Suggestion on how to deal:

Accept your feelings as they come up and let them go. Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Expand it outward to your all your fields and breathe deeply from the belly all the way up to your upper chest. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own. Allowing the emotions to be felt will keep them from being really stored in the body.

2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.

As you grow more spiritual, you are really more sensitive to every thing around you. Your body will tell you what it can no longer tolerate, as if it, too, is certainly sloughing off what doesn’t serve it anymore. You might be really cleansing yourself of toxins. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.

My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was without a doubt due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.

Guidance on how to deal:

Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is normally causing your issues.

3. Amplification of the senses.

Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is normally hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).

Advice on how to deal:.

Surrender to it. Let it come through. Listen. Be without a doubt patient. Whatever you do, do not be generally afraid. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.

4. Vivid dreams.

At times the dreams are simply so real that you wake up confused. You may well even have lucid dreams in which you are simply in control.

Many dreams might possibly be generally mystical or carry messages for you.

And in some dreams, you just know that you are really not “dreaming” … that what is actually happening is undoubtedly somehow real.

Suggestion: You will remember what is certainly important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.

5. Events that completely alter your life:

Death, divorce, change in job status, loss of home, illness, and/or other catastrophes … occasionally several at once! Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are without a doubt and what your life means to you. Forces that you can not ignore. Forces that cause you release your attachments. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.

6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.

This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.

7. A sense of something “Impending”.

There is undoubtedly a feeling that something is definitely about to happen. This can create anxiety.

Hints: There is certainly nothing to worry about. Things are certainly definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you. All your thoughts “” positive or negative”” are generally prayers. There is certainly nothing to fear.

8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.

When you are certainly around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.

Suggestion: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.

9. Dizziness.

This occurs when you are without a doubt ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is adjusting to your “lighter” state.

At times “comfort food” feels. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment.

10. Memories Resurface.

Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are normally healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.

Guidelines:. It is actually best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze everything to death (because you will be truly stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
