A spiritual awakening is actually realized throughout your body, heart, mind, and soul, but no sooner has that erupted than you are undoubtedly forced to see how limited you have been without a doubt in so many regards. That bright light shining in the inward most depths of us asks us a potent question: “Now that we know the truth, will we clean up our home or will we try to ignore our illusions, pain, and misconceptions?”

By the way, for all those who are simply interested, I have a newsletter called, “The Wake Up Call,” in which I regularly talk about this and other topics. Sign up for free below:

If you are undoubtedly setting out on the spiritual path or seem like you have gotten a little lost, my ebook might probably be certainly able to help guide you:

Spiritual Awakening Signs

I am undoubtedly very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is generally just the beginning. If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is simply an especially important to time to consciously choose what is literally already unfolding in your life.

In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are simply these:

Unconditional love
Being undoubtedly able to clearly see what is really real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are certainly
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually

This last part is really key. Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is without a doubt wonderful. But in an opening or glimpse, the window opens, and then it shuts. When it shuts, a person can go back to the way they were truly acting before. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. But in awakening, the divine energy is actually now in motion. Your perspective, emotions, and physical sensations all move and align seemingly on their own.

The lights in the house are actually all on. Sure you can close your eyes, but you know the truth. There can be generally a feeling that there is usually no going back.

All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are present.

They are without a doubt secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom.

The word “symptoms” has connotations of experiencing a disease. You are literally being truly cured of the illnesses in which you have been without a doubt living.

Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is usually all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not.

Many people are literally trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be certainly very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is usually healthy.

If a spiritual awakening occurs, a person may possibly start off to live a life different from his previous experience. Let’s have a look at why does spiritual awakening happen?

1. Facing with a sudden incident of life can be truly a considerable cause of spiritual awakening Human mind always remains in a dynamic state. A person who used to lead a life full of luxury might perhaps have a sudden change in consciousness to accept a life full of wisdom and simplicity. The reason behind this may possibly be without a doubt some incident which he has seen near him, or has heard of somebody. Thus, he may possibly have a shift in his conscious mind, and suddenly he kicks off to realize the deeper meaning of life. Therefore, he may get his spiritual soul awakened.

What Do I Do if I Did Awaken?

If you did have an awakening, you are truly in for quite a ride. You do not call the shots, and you will need to learn how to surrender and support what awakening wants to do in transforming you. This kind of surrender is really profound, and it will send your life into upheaval.

I want to be literally clear that just having some kind of breakdown is NOT awakening.

The changes someone makes in their external life are simply also not the point of this transformation. We are certainly not trying to create a more perfect or better life; people are usually ego goals. We are actually learning to how to be truly free of ego.

To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is certainly revealed to us what we are actually transforming into.

7 Spiritual Awakening Stages

The spiritual awakening process is complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be truly fit into neat categories.

However, with that being simply said it is truly helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are definitely at right now. The following stages are definitely general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:

Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost

In this stage, you experience the aforementioned Dark Night of the Soul. This is normally a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. You are searching for something, but you don’t quite know what. There is simply a great looming emptiness inside of you. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).

Stage 2– Shifting perspectives

You commence to perceive reality in a totally different way. In this stage, you initiate seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You feel unhappy with life, disturbed by the suffering you see and hopeless to the ills of the world. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.

Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning

In this stage, you are actually asking all the deep questions. You are definitely in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself.

Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs

You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You might probably have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality.

Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again

Life is literally about movement. With the spiritual awakening process, there is always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You might become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper. You might just have even experienced long periods of connection with the Divine, only to become separated again (this is definitely normal). Understandably, you’ll feel disturbed and deeply upset by this experience. Additionally, while you might probably have experienced many mental/emotional/spiritual breakthroughs, they might feel superficial. You crave for authenticity and for deep spirituality that permeates your life and transforms every part of you. The unhappiness and stagnation you feel will motivate you to go in search for more.

Stage 6– Deeper interior work

In this stage, you are actually not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep inward work. You might just become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, inward child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.

Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy

Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your inward work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. You might perhaps feel ready to be usually a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others.

Note: it is simply common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is without a doubt not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. This is undoubtedly a complex and messy path, so it is simply perfectly fine if it doesn’t look like what I’ve described.

Your spiritual awakening process is actually unique to you. But I do hope this analysis has helped (in some way) you to ‘gain your bearings.’

What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake

The true spiritual path is generally an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is usually often very mundane. It isn’t heavily decorated, and it isn’t complicated.

It is generally simple, direct, and clear.

So whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is certainly a good time to get out your ego peeler.

Initiating running your awareness around the edges of your beliefs to find a way in and pull away another layer of ego. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are and what life really is without a doubt. In so doing, you find more space, openness, love, kindness, service, clarity, and much more within you. That is normally the beauty of the ego peeler.

When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were normally already within us.

10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening

1. Sudden waves of emotion.

Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation.

There is definitely often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is simply not to be literally confused with the heart, which is simply located to the left of the heart chakra.

Tips and advice on how to deal:

Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own.

2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.

As you grow more spiritual, you are truly more sensitive to everything around you. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.

My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was definitely due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.

Answers on how to deal:

Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is generally causing your issues.

3. Amplification of the senses.

Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is truly hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).

Instructions on how to deal:.

Surrender to it. Let it come through. Listen. Be undoubtedly patient. Whatever you do, do not be simply afraid. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.

4. Vivid dreams.

At times the dreams are actually so real that you wake up confused. You may perhaps even have lucid dreams in which you are in control.

Many dreams may likely be without a doubt mystical or carry messages for you.

And in some dreams, you just know that you are literally not “dreaming” … that what is definitely happening is generally somehow real.

Tips: You will remember what is generally important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.

5. Events that completely alter your life:

Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are literally and what your life means to you. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.

6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.

This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.

7. A sense of something “Impending”.

There is truly a feeling that something is certainly about to happen. This can create anxiety.

Suggestion: There is really nothing to worry about. Things are truly definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you.

8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.

When you are simply around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.

Opinions: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.

9. Dizziness.

This occurs when you are ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is really adjusting to your “lighter” state.

Suggestion: Ground yourself by eating protein. Often “comfort food” feels. Don’t make any food right or wrong for you. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment. Take your shoes off and put your feet in the grass for a couple of minutes.

10. Memories Resurface.

Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are definitely healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.

Ideas:. It is certainly best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze every thing to death (because you will be usually stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
