A spiritual awakening is without a doubt realized throughout your body, heart, mind, and soul, but no sooner has that erupted than you are without a doubt forced to see how limited you have been in so many regards. That bright light shining in the interior most depths of us asks us a potent question: “Now that we know the truth, will we clean up our home or will we try to ignore our illusions, pain, and misconceptions?”

By the way, for those who are definitely interested, I have a newsletter called, “The Wake Up Call,” in which I regularly talk about this and other topics. Sign up for free below:

Spiritual Awakening Signs

I am certainly very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is actually just the beginning. If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is truly an especially important to time to consciously choose what is normally already unfolding in your life.

In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are actually these:

Unconditional love
Being simply able to clearly see what is definitely real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are generally
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually

This last part is truly key. Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is truly wonderful. In an opening or glimpse, the window opens, and then it shuts. When it shuts, a person can go back to the way they were actually acting before. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. But in awakening, the divine energy is literally now in motion. Your perspective, emotions, and physical sensations all move and align seemingly on their own.

The lights in the house are all on. Sure you can close your eyes, but you know the truth. There can be normally a feeling that there is simply no going back.

All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are truly present.

They are certainly secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom.

Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is generally all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not.

Many people are actually trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be usually very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is certainly healthy.

However, with that being actually said it is generally helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are truly at right now. The following stages are literally general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:

Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost

This is literally a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).

You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You may possibly have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality.

Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again

With the spiritual awakening process, there is always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You may well become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper.

Stage 6– Deeper inward work

Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your inward work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. You might feel ready to be usually a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others.

Note: it is really common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is certainly not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C.

What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake

The true spiritual path is definitely an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are usually here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is normally often very mundane. It isn’t heavily decorated, and it isn’t complicated.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening

Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations.

That said, a lot of initial inside work seems to get done for us. It is undoubtedly almost like the Divine is actually showing us how inward work should go.

Surrender is really another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.

Choosing and actively engaging with ego issues is generally vital to doing personal work, but initially, surrender must come.

With that said, surrender is not passivity. When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is actually moving you, you also swim. If you don’t learn to swim, you are actually going to get smashed into a lot of stuff!

10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening

1. Sudden waves of emotion.

Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation.

There is often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is without a doubt not to be literally confused with the heart, which is really located to the left of the heart chakra.

Guidelines on how to deal:

Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own.

2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.

As you grow more spiritual, you are simply more sensitive to every thing around you. Your body will tell you what it can no longer tolerate, as if it, too, is generally sloughing off what doesn’t serve it anymore. You might be without a doubt cleansing yourself of toxins. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.

My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was actually due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.

Help on how to deal:

Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is definitely causing your issues.

3. Amplification of the senses.

Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is undoubtedly hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).

Ideas on how to deal:.

Surrender to it. Let it come through. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.

4. Vivid dreams.

Frequently the dreams are definitely so real that you wake up confused. You might possibly even have lucid dreams in which you are actually in control.

Many dreams may perhaps be undoubtedly mystical or carry messages for you.

And in some dreams, you just know that you are usually not “dreaming” … that what is normally happening is definitely somehow real.

Insight: You will remember what is undoubtedly important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.

5. Events that completely alter your life:

Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are without a doubt and what your life means to you. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.

6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.

This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.

7. A sense of something “Impending”.

There is definitely a feeling that something is really about to happen. This can create anxiety.

Ideas: There is undoubtedly nothing to worry about. Things are definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you. All your thoughts “” positive or negative”” are certainly prayers. There is without a doubt nothing to fear.

8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.

When you are normally around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.

Tip: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.

9. Dizziness.

This occurs when you are usually ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is without a doubt adjusting to your “lighter” state.

Often “comfort food” feels. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment.

10. Memories Resurface.

Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.

Hints:. It is usually best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze every thing to death (because you will be certainly stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
