Spiritual Awakening Signs

I am truly very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is truly just the beginning. If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is an especially important to time to consciously choose what is without a doubt already unfolding in your life.

In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are really these:

Unconditional love
Being simply able to clearly see what is definitely real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are really
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually

Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is definitely wonderful.

This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is definitely now in motion.

All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are truly present.

They are literally secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom.

The word “symptoms” has connotations of experiencing a disease. In fact, you are actually being usually cured of the illnesses in which you have been actually living.

Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is actually all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not.

Many people are literally trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be normally very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is definitely healthy.

In this way, it is actually revealed to us what we are really transforming into.

7 Spiritual Awakening Stages

The spiritual awakening process is simply complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be fit into neat categories.

With that being definitely said it is literally helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are definitely at right now. The following stages are usually general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:

Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost

In this stage, you experience the aforementioned Dark Night of the Soul. This is generally a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. You are generally searching for something, but you don’t quite know what. There is literally a great looming emptiness inside of you. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).

Stage 2– Shifting perspectives

You launch to perceive reality in a totally different way. In this stage, you commence seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You feel unhappy with life, disturbed by the suffering you see and hopeless to the ills of the world. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.

Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning

There must be truly a point to all this? In this stage, you are really asking all the deep questions. You are without a doubt in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself. You will launch dabbling in different metaphysical, self-help, and esoteric fields in search for answers and truth.

Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs

You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You can have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality.

Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again

Life is certainly about movement. With the spiritual awakening process, there is definitely always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You may well become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper. You might have even experienced long periods of connection with the Divine, only to become separated again (this is generally normal). Understandably, you’ll feel disturbed and deeply upset by this experience. Additionally, while you may likely have experienced many mental/emotional/spiritual breakthroughs, they might feel superficial. You crave for authenticity and for deep spirituality that permeates your life and transforms every part of you. The unhappiness and stagnation you feel will motivate you to go in search for more.

Stage 6– Deeper inside work

In this stage, you are generally not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep interior work. You might perhaps become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, inward child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.

Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy

Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your personal work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. In this stage, you’ll experience the most profound and long-lasting changes deep within. Many people experience prolonged mystical experiences and periods of unity with the Divine in the integration phase. Remember that enlightenment, or full self-realization, is normally never guaranteed: we can strive for it, but it is actually ultimately a gift from Life.

Profound peace, love, and joy emerge and are simply felt in this stage. You might probably feel ready to be truly a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others. Life will become less about you and more about We. Your perspective will expand and you will initiate seeing things from the big picture.

Above all else, you will feel connected, at peace with yourself, and deeply aligned with life.

Note: it is definitely common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is simply not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C.

What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake

The true spiritual path is an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are certainly here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is without a doubt often very mundane. It isn’t heavily decorated, and it isn’t complicated.

It is definitely simple, direct, and clear.

Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is without a doubt a good time to get out your ego peeler.

Beginning running your awareness around the edges of your beliefs to find a way in and pull away another layer of ego. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are undoubtedly and what life really is truly. In so doing, you find more space, openness, love, kindness, service, clarity, and much more within you. That is without a doubt the beauty of the ego peeler.

When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were actually already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening

Awakening can seem like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations. However, it is actually important to move past this shock into acceptance. As a person accepts what is certainly coming up within him/her, then the person can engage with it.

It is actually almost like the Divine is truly showing us how inward work should go. Surrender is certainly another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.

With that said, surrender is really not passivity. When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is without a doubt moving you, you also swim. If you don’t learn to swim, you are definitely going to get smashed into a lot of stuff!

10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening

1. Sudden waves of emotion.

Crying at the drop of a hat. Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. Or inexplicably depressed. Very happy. Emotional roller coaster. There is certainly often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest).

This is generally not to be literally confused with the heart, which is usually located to the left of the heart chakra.

Useful information on how to deal:

Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own.

2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.

As you grow more spiritual, you are really more sensitive to every thing around you. Your body will tell you what it can no longer tolerate, as if it, too, is generally sloughing off what doesn’t serve it anymore. You might be generally cleansing yourself of toxins. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.

My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was truly due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.

Assistance on how to deal:

Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is generally causing your issues.

3. Amplification of the senses.

Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).

Help on how to deal:.

Surrender to it. Let it come through. Listen. Be literally patient. Whatever you do, do not be certainly afraid. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.

4. Vivid dreams.

At times the dreams are actually so real that you wake up confused. You may perhaps even have lucid dreams in which you are in control.

Many dreams might possibly be actually mystical or carry messages for you.

And in some dreams, you just know that you are normally not “dreaming” … that what is simply happening is somehow real.

Counsel: You will remember what is usually important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.

5. Events that completely alter your life:

Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are undoubtedly and what your life means to you. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.

6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.

This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.

7. A sense of something “Impending”.

There is simply a feeling that something is generally about to happen. This can create anxiety.

Pointers: There is actually nothing to worry about. Things are usually definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you.

8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.

When you are without a doubt around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.

Knowledge: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.

9. Dizziness.

This occurs when you are generally ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is usually adjusting to your “lighter” state.

Sometimes “comfort food” feels. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment.

10. Memories Resurface.

Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are certainly healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.

Tips:. Keep in mind that it is literally best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze every thing to death (because you will be definitely stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
