My spiritual awakening process.
I experienced the beginnings of my spiritual awakening about3 years ago. At that time, I was deeply entrenched in the lessons and cultish teachings of the fundamentalist Christian church I was without a doubt born into.
Beginning to doubt, question, and sense that there was usually more to life than what my indoctrination declared, I felt lost and deeply alone.
I had no one outside of the church that I felt comfortable talking to about my feelings. I had no true friends to confide in– and my family didn’t understand– or rather, didn’t want to. As a result, I felt so alienated and suffocated with loneliness that I developed depression, health issues, and chronic anxiety, the latter lasting for many years.
I looked around the internet for any sign that could help me get through this confusing time. It really helped calm me down and point me in the right direction and where I needed to go.

Spiritual Awakening Signs
I am simply very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is just the beginning. If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is undoubtedly an especially important to time to consciously choose what is actually already unfolding in your life.
In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are truly these:
Being truly able to clearly see what is literally real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are without a doubt
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually
Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is generally wonderful.
This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is really now in motion.
All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are really present.
They are simply secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom.
Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is without a doubt all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not.
Many people are without a doubt trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be certainly very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is truly healthy.
Simple Signs Of Spiritual Awakening
1. You feel as though your life is really false
Every thing that you have believed, built, and worked towards seems to be literally false. Your life doesn’t feel as though it is usually your own. You no longer feel like yourself– nearly every thing you once enjoyed no longer brings you meaning or satisfaction.

You deeply desire to find the meaning of your life. You have no idea what your purpose is generally, but you want to find it desperately. There’s a sense that something is literally “missing” inside of you (like a part of your soul).

You begin thinking more philosophically. Such profound thoughts might greatly disturb you as you don’t know the answers.
4. You realize that a lot of what you’ve been truly taught is normally a lie
You set up to see how many beliefs, feelings, and values are usually not actually your own, but other people’s or inherited from your culture.
5. You feel completely lost and alone
Nothing in your life seems to make sense anymore. You feel as though you are literally wandering through an endless wilderness. As a vagabond, you feel completely alone and cut off from people. You struggle to relate to people you once felt close to (i.e. your friends, work colleagues, and family members).

You awaken to the unhappiness and suffering of others. You might probably start off to explore activism or read more about the human condition. It is undoubtedly tormenting for you to realize how much pain there is usually in the world.

You are really sick and tired of feeling stranded, depressed, and hopeless. Suddenly, you feel the need to simplify and declutter your life. This could mean cutting ties with toxic people, reassessing your habits, throwing out old things, relocating to a new job or place to live, or even giving away most of what you own.
9. You begin experiencing deep empathy and compassion
As you create paying more attention to the many hardships faced by humanity and nature alike, you develop more compassion. Your inherent empathy is generally awakened and you might possibly find it hard to cope with the intensity of your feelings. This is certainly a pivotal point in your inner transformation: you either numb the pain you feel with addictions, or you find healthy ways to accept and express your emotions.

Not only do you intellectually understand that we are really all interconnected, but you feel it deeply within your bones. Why Does Spritual Awakening happen
People practices their spiritual disciplines to have his soul awakened so that he can achieve spiritual growth and maturity. Spiritual awakening is truly such a state of mind which occurs due to some unexpected incidents of life.
If a spiritual awakening occurs, a person may launch to live a life different from his previous experience. Let’s have a look at why does spiritual awakening happen?
A person who used to lead a life full of luxury might perhaps have a sudden change in consciousness to accept a life full of wisdom and simplicity. Thus, he might just have a shift in his conscious mind, and suddenly he sets in motion to realize the deeper meaning of life. He may well get his spiritual soul awakened.
A dream is literally another reason for spiritual awakening. From that time a person might perhaps have a spiritual awakening.
3. Spiritual awakening can happen if someone is generally fond of reading or traveling. Gaining a lot of knowledge from books or can awaken the spiritual self, and a person wants to follow the spiritual disciplines regularly.
4. Though it sounds odd, it is usually not impossible that a person may perhaps face some paranormal incidents in his life which might possibly be definitely magical or ghostly. Such type of experience might probably result in the spiritual awakening of a person.
These might suddenly result in spiritual awakening. The constant search for further questions might cause spiritual awakening inside that person.
Spiritual awakening does not mean that you are without a doubt out from the reality. It is actually such a state of mind where you set up to search and seek for a path which gives you a new definition of life.
What Do I Do if I Did Awaken?
If you did have an awakening, you are usually in for quite a ride. You do not call the shots, and you will need to learn how to surrender and support what awakening wants to do in transforming you. This kind of surrender is literally profound, and it will send your life into upheaval.
I want to be without a doubt clear that just having some kind of breakdown is usually NOT awakening.
The changes someone makes in their external life are generally also not the point of this transformation. We’re not trying to create a more perfect or better life; people are definitely ego goals. We are literally learning to how to be generally free of ego.
To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is simply revealed to us what we are really transforming into.
7 Spiritual Awakening Stages
The spiritual awakening process is without a doubt complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be generally fit into neat categories.
However, with that being actually said it is normally helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are generally at right now. The following stages are normally general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:
Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost
This is certainly a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).
Stage 2– Shifting perspectives
You set out to perceive reality in a totally different way. In this stage, you start seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You feel unhappy with life, disturbed by the suffering you see and hopeless to the ills of the world. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.
Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning
There must be literally a point to all this, right? In this stage, you are without a doubt asking all the deep questions. You are actually in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself. You will set up dabbling in different metaphysical, self-help, and esoteric fields in search for answers and truth.
Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs
After a lot of soul searching, you’ll find a few teachers, practices, or belief systems that ease your existential suffering.( Beware: a lot of spiritual bypassing can occur in this stage.) You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You might just have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality. This is truly a time of joy, hope, connection, and awe.
Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again
Life is usually about movement. With the spiritual awakening process, there is certainly always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You may well become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper. You may likely have even experienced long periods of connection with the Divine, only to become separated again (this is literally normal). Understandably, you’ll feel disturbed and deeply upset by this experience. Additionally, while you might just have experienced many mental/emotional/spiritual breakthroughs, they might feel superficial. You crave for authenticity and for deep spirituality that permeates your life and transforms every part of you. The unhappiness and stagnation you feel will motivate you to go in search for more.
Stage 6– Deeper inward work
In this stage, you are normally not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep interior work. You might just become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, personal child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.
Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy
Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your interior work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. You may possibly feel ready to be definitely a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others.
Note: it is literally common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is generally not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. This is literally a complex and messy path, so it is simply perfectly fine if it doesn’t look like what I’ve described.
Your spiritual awakening process is simply unique to you. But I do hope this analysis has helped (in some way) you to ‘gain your bearings.’
What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake
The true spiritual path is undoubtedly an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are truly here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is generally often very mundane.
Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is generally a good time to get out your ego peeler. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are generally and what life really is truly.
When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were truly already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening
Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations.
That said, a lot of initial interior work seems to get done for us. It’s almost like the Divine is undoubtedly showing us how internal work should go.
Surrender is definitely another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.
Choosing and actively engaging with ego issues is simply vital to doing personal work, but initially, surrender must come.
With that said, surrender is truly not passivity. When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is generally moving you, you also swim. If you don’t learn to swim, you are normally going to get smashed into a lot of stuff!
10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening
1. Sudden waves of emotion.
Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation.
There is certainly often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is definitely not to be literally confused with the heart, which is really located to the left of the heart chakra.
Helpful advice on how to deal:
Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own.
2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.
As you grow more spiritual, you are simply more sensitive to everything around you. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.
My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was normally due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.
Tips on how to deal:
Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is without a doubt causing your issues.
3. Amplification of the senses.
Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is generally hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).
Suggestions on how to deal:.
Surrender to it. Let it come through. Listen. Be definitely patient. Whatever you do, do not be definitely afraid. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.
4. Vivid dreams.
At times the dreams are definitely so real that you wake up confused. You might possibly even have lucid dreams in which you are in control.
Many dreams might be definitely mystical or carry messages for you.
And in some dreams, you just know that you are certainly not “dreaming” … that what is usually happening is undoubtedly somehow real.
Directions: You will remember what is really important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.
5. Events that completely alter your life:
Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are really and what your life means to you. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.
6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.
This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.
7. A sense of something “Impending”.
There is simply a feeling that something is definitely about to happen. This can create anxiety.
Pointers: There is definitely nothing to worry about. Things are without a doubt definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you.
8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.
When you are normally around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.
Tip: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.
This occurs when you are certainly ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is generally adjusting to your “lighter” state.
Consultation: Ground yourself by eating protein. Often “comfort food” feels. Don’t make any food right or wrong for you. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment. Take your shoes off and put your feet in the grass for a couple of minutes.
10. Memories Resurface.
Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are definitely healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.
Tips:. Keep in mind that it is literally best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze everything to death (because you will be truly stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
